This listing is for a single, heavy antique cast brass elevator call button plate featuring a highly decorative layout. The face is styled with an integrated ornate oval frame structure around the button holes and classical leaf patterning in the corner panels. The plate features a single central mechanical button, with the upper button hole remaining open and empty. The metal surface features a natural golden-brown aged patina with light surface oxidation, tarnish, minor scratches, and localized scuffs from historical handling. No up button, rear wiring components, or mounting screws are present.
Measures 3″ wide x 6 1/4″ tall and just plate is x 5/8″ thick. Nice weight at 1 pound. Down button and contact seem to push in and spring out good.
Has scratches, scuffs, stains, tarnishing verdigris, paint splatter, dings, nice Patina showing good age and still looks Awesome! What makes this unusual is the design work at 4 corners of the oval. Cool historic find worthy of a proper finish restoration or leave original as found.
Guessing made 1890’s-1930’s. Cool Old Elevator Company Call Button!!
